The line graph demonstrates the number of passenger journeys travelling to and from the UK from 1979 to 1999 while the bar-chart reveals the different countries of being visited by the UK residents. A quick glance at the reveals that The number of people travelling from the UK always surpasses the quantity of visitors to the UK.

In detail, After a stable trend for the first five years, the figure of visits abroad by UK residents soars from 20 million to the highest point of 50 million in 1999.

By comparison , The quantity of visits to the UK by overseas residents witnessed a dramatic rise to a zenith of approximately 28 million in 1999 , after a plateau from 1979 to 1986. An interesting feature is that Both reports reveal an same trend in most periods.

In the bar-chart ,while the proportion of visitors from the UK to France illustrates the biggest number of visitors with above 12 million, the lowest figure is seen in Turkey with only about 2 million. The rest ones that are between 3 and 9 million.

To conclude, The ratio of people travelling to and from the UK experienced a quite similar trend with the latter always surpasses the former in the entire periods.
